Saboteur Extraordinaire

I am not sure how she did it, but the evidence is damning. After a year and a half I have finally caught on. A magician? A wizard? Or, maybe she’s just a saboteur extraordinaire? Kelsey has always been supportive of my golf trips…or has she? I’ll let you Decide:

Exhibit A: August 9, 2019- The Stock Farm Club

I started this journey on GolferMD.com by visiting one of the more exclusive courses in the west, The Stock Farm Club. Strategic parking of our van at my in-laws house led to a costly collision as my father-in-law and I started our road trip to Hamilton, MT. Coincidence or just bad luck? Would this stop us from going? No way! Already cutting it close to our tee time I called Kelsey on the way to the course telling her car had been backed into. No stopping me from a round at The Stock Farm Club.

Exhibit B: August 18, 2020- Gamble Sands

The audacity! As I drove to pick up my friend to drive to Gamble Sands together I saw his wife standing outside of her vehicle, kids in hand, cops pulling up. The “victims” of a an accident. I understand getting your friend involved Honey, but her kids too?

I asked if they were ok. “Yes”. The car however was not. A bent wheel meant it had to be towed away. She could use on our cars to make it through the day. A minor fender bender was not going to stop us from one of the best rounds of the year. Brilliant move on your part though Kelsey.

Exhibit C: November 13, 2019- Poipu Bay

You took down an airline? I’m not sure how. A malfunctioning airplane almost cost us our trip to Hawaii. I would understand if you didn’t want me to golf, but to jeopardize our trip to Hawaii? Fortunately my sister broke into our home at midnight to tell us our flight was cancelled. We were able to make the two hour drive to another town to catch our flight at 5am. I have a feeling you would have regretted skipping out on this one. All is forgiven.

Exhibit D: March 12, 2020- Bandon Dunes

COVID? You started COVID? There was a lot of collateral damage on this one…all to prevent me from going on a golf trip. Sure, COVID-19 started going down right before I went to Bandon. That wasn’t going to stop me. I may have got the COVID Sweats, but Bandon was the trip of a lifetime. Jokes on you. I’ve already booked Bandon for May of 2021!

Exhibit E- September 12, 2020- Whistling Straits

I knew the trip to Wisconsin was a stretch. Middle of Covid-19 and the kids just started school. I didn’t expect you would become an Arsonist though. When some fires ”whipped up“ in our home town I wasn’t expecting this type of smoke. Despite some great golf I caved. I came home a day early. Fortunately I did, because my flight the next day cancelled. Well played. At least I have Bandon Dunes to look forward to next May.

Exhibit F- May 20, 2021- The Saboteur Extraordinaire deals a striking blow to Bandon.

Slow clap ?. Hats off. You had me at hello, but you won me over again after this sly move. I knew I married you for a reason. The saboteur extraordinaire strikes again! The May Bandon Dunes trip has been officially cancelled. It appears there will be more pressing things in May. ? ? ? ❤️.

About Me

I am a golfer and a doctor, but more importantly I’m a husband and a dad. With our 4th child on the way some of my golf trips will have to wait. I have other things to prep for in May of 2021!
